About the final conference:
How big is the problem of emissions of organic substances from products , and how much is expected to be in the future? Which combinations of materials, supplies and usage patterns contributes most to the exposure to humans and the environment in the long and short term? These are some of the issues highlighted during Chemitecs final conference September 9 to 10 2013.
ChEmiTecs is a research programme funded by the Swedish EPA. The programme's goal has been to improve the understanding of emissions of organic substances from articles and to clarify and determine the magnitude of this problem. The programme has benn aimed to support development of Swedish and EU management programmes to minimise risks from harmful substances.
The final conference addressed environmental managers in corporations, municipalities and county councils as well as scientists, government representatives and others with an interest in these issues. The conference ran over two days and included both presentations of results from ChEmiTecs and policy-relevant discussions on how the results fit into and may be disposed of in the national and international kemikaliearbete.
